What type of tactical switch to use with our products? During the modernization, both the devices and the switches underwent various changes, different connectors were used. In this article, we'll discuss the types of connectors and their compatibility. 
There are 3 types of connector on the switch: old, new and modern. The most modern type of connector is used on "D" (KV-D...) line of switches: KV-D1, KV-D1P, KV-D2, KV-D2P, KV-D3/2P. They are compatible with devices of new generation, in particular:

• Perst-2, beginning with gen 2.0;
• Perst-3, beginning with gen 3.0;
• Perst-4, beginning with gen 3.0;
• Perst-4M, beginning with gen 3.0;
• Perst-4P, beginning with gen 3.0;
• Klesch-1, beginning with gen 2.0;
• Klesch-1+laser, all gens,
• Klesch-2, beginning with gen 2.0;
• Klesch-2PS+laser, beginning with gen 2.0.

Devices of older generations are not compatible with "D" line of switches! Also switches from other lines (not "D") are not compatible with devices of new generations. Generation of device is engraved on its body. If it is not engraved, it means that the device is of older generation. 

Before introducing the "D" line switches used to have two types of connector: "old" and "new" (see the photo). Some switches were manufactured in two modifications and could have both type of connector (you may choose it in "kit type" section while making an order). If your device is manufactured by our company and is not a new generation (see the list above), that means that you need to choose between the following switches:

• KV-0 - made both with old and new connectors, also in different lengths;
• KV-1 - made only with old connector;
• KV-1P - made both with old and new connectors;
• KV Klesch-1 - made only with new connector, compatible only with "Klesch-1" flashlight gen 1 and "Perst-4M", "Perst-4P" combined devices gen 2;
• KV-4/2 - made only with new connector, designed to control "Klesch-2" gen 1 and "Perst-4" gen 2 without "KV-5PU" graving under the connector;
• KV-4/2U - made only with new connector, designed to control "Klesch-2" gen 1 and "Perst-4" gen 2 with "KV-5PU" graving under the connector;
• KV-5P - made both with old and new connectors;
• KV-5PU - made only with new connector, compatible with "Klesch" flashlights and "Perst" combined devices with "KV-5PU" graving under the connector;
• KV-8P - made both with old and new connectors
• KV-9P - made only with new connector.

Apart from the others, it is worth mentioning switches for the "Zenitka-2GR" and "Zenitka-2D" flashlights: KV-2, KV-2P and KV-3. They are screwed on the back to the corresponding flashlights, so the shape of the connector is different from all other switches.
